Interesting sites

Today I was looking for canvas bags. I really think I should create canvas bags to sell at the Farmer's Market. I want to get a cost analysis before I see about doing this. If I do not do this, I may see about getting a local environmental group involved and/or have my design students design them for class. I was again appalled at how few reusable bags are being used. I will ask my in-laws they are in the design business and may know the logistics of designing for and printing on large canvas bags.

One site, ecobags.com had a lot of information about plastic bags. I will list some of the URLs
http://www.ecobags.com/Resources/Tips_for_Light_Living
http://www.ecobags.com/Resources/Impact_of_Plastic_Bags

Even if you are not "into" environmentalism, what about the bottom line ($$$)? Part of your grocery cost covers the cost of paper or plastic bags. It may only be pennies per bag, but each bag adds up.
