Which foods should be organic?

Some conventionally grown foods are higher in pesticides than others. When you can, choose organic version of the following (or don't eat at all):

  • Strawberries (the most important)
  • Bell peppers
  • Spinach
  • Cherries
  • Peaches
  • Mexican cantaloupe
  • Celery
  • Apples
  • Apricots
  • Green beans
  • Rice
  • Corn
  • Bananas
  • Grapes (and Raisins)
  • Potatoes
  • Soybeans
  • Cucumbers
I also make sure that milk, eggs, and any meat products are organic. Of course, you should always try to avoid genetically modified foods as well!
